20% Time Blog Post #2 - Balisong

Over the past few weeks unfortunately I haven't learned much of anything. One of the questions I have is if I will be able to learn these moves and be able to do them smoothly in a combo. One challenge I'm facing is that I'm hitting a plateau, meaning that I'm staying at the same skill level. I really hope to learn the twirl ladder by next week because I'm disappointing myself by putting it off. On the bright side, I got a Squidtrainer V3.5 on Monday November 4th. It cost $180 and it might be some of the best money I've ever spent. It has increased my smoothness in certain tricks and I feel a lot more confident with this trainer. I was originally going to get a live blade but plans changed so I got the V3.5. I'm very happy with my purchase but I am still hoping to get a live blade by the end of the year. Here's a picture of the Squidtrainer.

  1. This skill is cool because there are many variations of tricks you can do. The geometry and balance of the knives are also pretty cool because it can differ how they handle.

  2. The tricks are very cool, you could probably expand and post videos on Youtube or Instagram. I think a lot of people would find this interesting.

eCommerce Blog #5 - LG G8X ThinQ Dual Screen

The new LG G8X ThinQ Dual Screen smartphone isn't exactly what comes to mind when thinking "revolutionary folding smartphone," but its price is unbeatable. Here is the link to LG's website -  https://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones?cmpid=SEM_MU_Phone_G8X-NPI_Subcat_Google_MC-NPI-GGL-Srch-Brand-G8X-Only-BMM-+lg+g8x&gclid=CjwKCAiAwZTuBRAYEiwAcr67OVFWa3rIN4B8OUoHXVD5s4QUSqkn1bSca-fPV4Z2IFHdPxO-hkEvABoCZEkQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds The LG G8X ThinQ Dual Screen phone can be used primarily with dual screen capabilities, but the second screen can be detached when going minimalist. You can use two apps at once without constantly having to toggle between them. The second screen is pretty much identical to the phone's screen, it even has the same camera cutout - even though there is no camera. The 6.4" OLED Fullvision Displays allow you to multitask like never before. The phone itself has a 4000 mAh battery for insane battery life, before adding the second screen. It f...

eCommerce Blog #2

Here are some things I learned about things to sell when starting a DIY business from this article  https://www.shopify.ca/blog/things-to-make-and-sell  T-Shirts and Printed Merchandise: This is for people who don't have the time or money to make the physical product themselves. Design your product/logo and have it printed onto various items. Handcrafted goods: Wood, leather, and pottery are all good examples of things that people want to buy. These products are one of a kind and can't be found from big companies. You will sell more products as you get better at making them. -Noah Best

eCommerce Blog #4 - Product Descriptions

To be able to sell your product in the eCommerce business, an interesting and effective product description can be very helpful. Here are some tips I found in this Shopify article by    Henneke Duistermaat :  https://www.shopify.ca/blog/8211159-9-simple-ways-to-write-product-descriptions-that-sell The first tip is to focus on the ideal buyer. Think about their interests, sense of humor, and what words they like or hate. Use the word "you" as if you're having a conversation with your buyer. Try to incorporate hypothetical face-to-face dialogue in your product description. Another tip is to avoid mundane and overused phrases such as "excellent product quality." These are called (by the author) "yeah, yeah" phrases, because people will see those phrases and think "yeah, yeah everyone says that." Saying "yeah, yeah" phrases can deter potential buyers and make your product seem bland. Instead, describe details and their given benefit...
